Hey there, I’m James, a freelance web designer and developer from the midlands. When I launched my first side business, finding someone reliable and affordable to create a decent website was a nightmare, so I decided to teach myself web design and development instead. While I ultimately lost interest in the project, I discovered I loved building websites far more than running that business.

My goal is simple—to make great design accessible, reliable, and hassle-free for the businesses that need it most.
How I do what I do
My goal is to build the best website you've ever had to bring you more business. Once a contract is signed, I kick things off with a brief questionnaire about your business and services.
From there, I expand on your input to craft all the content for your site, refine the design to align with your brand, get your approval, and then move on to building. The entire process typically takes 1–3 weeks from start to finish.

Build: Design & Development
I start by creating a sitemap and wireframe to outline your website. After finalising the design direction with you and making any changes you request, I develop your website in Webflow while keeping you updated throughout.
Launch: Delivery & Handover
After quality checks and final approval, your site will be launched. If you're on the monthly plan, I take care of everything for you. Or if you're on a fixed-fee project and want to manage the site yourself, I'll walk you through everything you need to manage key features.

How long does it take to build a website?
Project timelines depend on the scope and complexity. Most projects, such as landing pages or 5-7 page business sites, usually take 1 to 3 weeks. Larger projects involving highly custom solutions, complex CMS development, and copywriting can take up to 8 weeks to complete.
How much does a website cost?
The cost of a website can vary significantly depending on its scope, complexity, and requirements. Projects are quoted upfront on a flat rate or subscription basis, so you'll never have to worry about any hidden fees.
To give you a rough idea, most websites I build typically fall within the following ranges:
Flat Rate:
Landing Pages: £299
5-7 Page Business Websites: £499+ (depending on complexity and any extra services)
Hosting/Extras: from £29/month, or you can host the site yourself.
Subscription:

How is payment structured for a project?
For fixed-fee projects (inc. e-commerce), I charge 50% upfront with the remaining 50% payable upon project completion.
For subscription-based projects, I get to work as soon as the first monthly payment has been made.
What is SEO?
All websites I build are optimised for search engines via on-page SEO, but this is for businesses that need extra help to stand out in competitive areas. It’s about improving your website’s chances of appearing at the top of Google when people search for what you offer. This is done through all the things behind the scenes that search engines use to prioritise listings.
This includes researching the right search keywords to target, using this to improve how your site is structured for search engines, building links from other websites to yours, and getting your business listed in online directories.

What post-launch support do you offer?
I offer full ongoing support to assist with any website needs for subscription sites, and 2 week support for fixed fee projects.
I can also manage fixed-fee websites long-term on a fixed hourly or monthly fee rate.
Sites can also be built with Webflow’s Content Management System (CMS), giving you full control to add, edit, and update every part of your site independently.
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Absolutely! Every website I design is fully responsive, ensuring it works seamlessly across all screen sizes, including smartphones and tablets.
